On the pretext of the fiftieth anniversary of the foundation of Behesht Zahra Jul 15, 2020 The first attempts to design, execute and construct a cemetery called Behesht Zahra (PBUH) were made in 1966. The aim of the construction of this cemetery was ending the issue of the number of cemeteries in Tehran. At the beigining of the establishment of Behesht Zahra, it was faced a lack of public interest in burying the death , due to the existence of several active cemeteries in the neighborhoods of Tehran. finally, with the burial of the first deceased named the late Mohammad Taghi Khayal in plot 1, row 1 and number 1, which belonged to an influential military family; Behesht Zahra was officially exploited.
