Children's Book Council Jul 9, 2020 The Children's Book Council is the first organization established to promote children and adolescent’s literature in Iran. The council started its activities in 1962 with the efforts of Turan Mirhadi (1927-2017) and with the cooperation of a group of education experts, writers and artists. The Council has sought to achieve its fundamental goals of improving literary works for children and adolescents continuously in terms of content and form, promoting and encouraging reading, and developing children's and adolescents' libraries more than half a century. In addition, It has also been able to provide an important source of information for Iranian children and adolescents by compiling the Dictionary of Children and Adolescents as a reference book.
